This year, too, seven new trainees will be taking up their apprenticeships at emz in Nabburg as of September 1. These are three mechatronic technicians and three tool mechanics, plus one young Afghan for whom emz is providing an apprenticeship for a skilled worker in metal technology. At this point, emz considers it as extremely important to make a contribution towards integration.

On their first day, the trainees were welcomed personally by Mr. Franz Forster, member of our Management, and their chief instructor Mr. Helmut Schönberger. In addition to a comprehensive guided factory tour, the trainees received important information about occupational health and safety and the protection of minors. In the scope of a joint group work, the trainees had the first opportunity to get to know each other.

On 6 September, it has become a tradition for us to take the trainees of all year groups to Sudelfeld for a three-day teambuilding session. There, they will visit the company Krauss Maffei with their mentors, will hike to the nearby mountain range Rotwand and will spend a day in the local spa. Following protocol, the excursion will end with a major bowling competition in the sports hall "Nordgauhalle" of Nabburg.

"We attach great importance to the team-building spirit and would like to convey to our new trainees our self-image as the smiling company from the start", as chief instructor Helmut Schönberger puts it.

We would like to wish our trainees a pleasant apprenticeship and lots of fun for starting their professional life! :-)
